There was a social media post about it.
Footage of the video has been posted on Channel 9’s website
The availability of footage should make the job of finding him guilty very easy.
and that same neo nazi and his group were the ones who were in the grampians and touted the residents of halls gap
Detectives from Victoria Police’s counter terrorism command last night charged Thomas Sewell, 27, with affray, recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault after he and another man arrived at Nine’s offices and demanded to see A Current Affair staff on March 1.
His accomplice, a 21-year-old Rowville man who was filming the incident, was also arrested but released by police pending further enquiries.
Mr Sewell, also of Rowville, has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on July 27.
Not sure why they have to say allegedly when it is on camera for everyone to see.
Because he is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
That’s just standard journalism. Everything is “alleged” until the person is convicted (happy to be corrected - it’s been a couple of years since I covered this at uni haha).
I know, but the video is there, no way it can be argued otherwise. Otherwise don’t show the video. Makes you look like an idiot saying that.
It’s a legal requirement for any case currently before the courts. Following legal guidelines and adhering to journalistic codes of ethics/practice doesn’t make anyone look like an idiot. I trust that the Australian public is smart enough to figure that out.
Adding to that, a judge can charge a journalist with contempt of court if they believe the story would hinder a fair trial.
