It could be. Hopefully they’ll stick with the yellow blue colour scheme and put the yellow Today logo on air instead of white.

One thing I don’t like the new logo it’s just plain and dull. They need to put a globe behind the ACA logo and animated it

Why are they using a world map? Another thing that shows this is just a carbon copy of the news package but red.

It should really utilise the dot as the C to form the logo.
I dunno I just feel like this dilutes the power of the 9News brand. Even to use the headline supers etc.
I understand there may have been the willingness to have a cohesive look across news and current affairs but when the News brand was launched almost two years ago, this seems odd to do this now.
The titles should be different I feel, it’s too breaking news looking.

Wasn’t there a Today show in the Nine News style mock done at one point. That is aging like fine wine at the moment with this ACA rebrand

And they still have the version of the theme with the beeps and swooshes that were added in the late 2010s to match the then-new opening titles.

Does anyone else see the globe in the opener as a camera lens?
It kind of reminds of this opener from 2009.
If you think the show is tabloid now, it was so much worse back then when it had Today Tonight as its competitor IMO, although I felt that TT was worse. Least ACA always had Tracy’s strong interviews.

Absolutely laughable. As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well, why fix something that was perfectly alright? Total turnoff for me. Probs the last time I’ll ever be truly tuning into ACA.
