A Current Affair

The current logo is pretty iconic, no need to change. But the “set” is so simple and harsh. They don’t bother with story graphics any more and the whole thing is just too bright. Bring back the depth, softness and warmth of this era https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSpUnZ-5GfE

Good point with this. They definitely are still used - I recall them a few times last week, but definitely not as often as they used to be.

The question is will they keep the the current theme or have a brand new one??

I actually thought this was a Random Mock for a second… Wow. :open_mouth:

It’s giving 2006 logo vibes. Disappointed they have kept the orange backdrop. All I think of is bushfires when I see it

Yes it’s a shocking backdrop. Didn’t hate the 2012-16 era of the generic backdrop.

Based on the above too, it looks like they have used the 9News template for the logo and animation as well as the halo strobing effect around the logo is the same as the globe for News

The logo looks so silly! It should all be one line.

The position of the supers definitely works better with aca than with the news.

Okay. It’s giving nine news vibes

if you can even call it a logo

just text really

Old ACA package was much nicer IMO. Downgrade.

Very Nine News-esque

Yeah the backdrop doesn’t suit the new package,

They should have also had the C in current form out of the circle of the center 9 dots IMO.

I just see breaking news with the intro. It looks like a breaking news sting.

Total downgrade. BG looks terrible. They’ve ditched the iconic logo. Lighting looks terrible. Supers look like news. Gosh if this is what’s next for Today god help us. It’ll all look the same all day.

So essentially just the Nine News graphics with ACA and red tacked onto it?

BO-RING.

I think I like colour palette better here than on Nine News.
