New cooking show hosted by Alice Zaslavsky - MasterChef Season 4 contestant, ABC News Breakfast food contributor, and ABC Melbourne Saturday Breakfast presenter.
Weeknights at 6pm from Monday 28 October on ABC-TV and iView.
Or more commonly known as Alice from MasterChef Australia.
Didn’t realise she was on MasterChef - sorry
This is different for the ABC. As mentioned above, it will air at 6pm weeknights, starting from October 28.
At this stage, Hard Quiz repeats will remain at 6.30pm. No mention what will happen to Antiques Roadshow repeats that are currently airing at the 5.30-6.60pm hour.
ABC has aired some weekly cooking shows before - from The Cook and the Chef, to Poh’s Kitchen (and Kitchen Cabinet which is slightly different). I think this is their first attempt of a weekday cooking show. Please correct me if i am wrong.
The Cook and The Chef aired at 6:30pm on Wednesdays IIRC.
Was back when there was a push for productions from the Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide and Perth units. Many of them were slotted in the 6:30pm Wednesday slot. Out of all of them, The Cook and The Chef were one of the few that lasted for a few years.
Aaaah, there you go. Thanks for that re The Cook and the Chef. I didn’t watch it when aired back on the ABC, but do tune into it on SBS Food Channel (repeats), which do air weeknights. I just assumed it was weekly shows, airing weeknights, to fill the gaps. Oops. lol.
Is this just ABC “borrowing” from The Cook Off With Adam Liaw?
Well SBS do “borrow” the collection of The Cook and The Chef from the ABC to keep SBS Food running .
Going back a bit but I think Come and Get It was nightly albeit only 5 minute eps at 6:55pm.
