I wouldnāt be surprised if this channel is modelled on the Hallmark Channel (US)- female skewing, but also with family appeal, consisting of a mix of movies, scripted drama and a smattering of lifestyle. Seasonal programming for Valentineās Day and Motherās Day has always featured on Hallmark.

I would love a family and drama channel. They have Disney content to show childrenās programs in the morning and afternoon, with opportunity to have family Disney movies nightly or on weekend. Family drama such as Once Upon a Time could play out. It better not be a lifestyle channel is all I am worried about!
Remembering that up until now, channel 7 have not created anything other than a placeholder on LCN76

This new channel could be any one of our guesses, hopes and dreams or something completely different altogether.
For me, if 7 are adding a specific a food or lifestyle channel, LCN76 will join SBSFood, 9Life and all of the data-cast/infomercial channels and be deleted from my equipment.
Iāll wait and see what (if) 7 announce tonight and hope itās been worth the wait.

In saying thisā¦with seven adding a channelā¦ten will fall further behind in terms of content and HD.

Can Ten afford a new channel ?
When ten were actually doing well and at the forefront of all this they had the foresight to create eleven as a joint venture with CBS. They could do something similar with an external media company.
They really need 10HD and a new channel to be competitive with seven and nine.
Looking forward to what seven can bring ā¦hope it isnāt lifestyle.
How does that CBS deal still work with Stan and Showtime/CBS?
Maybe it will be lifestyle and movies this new channel?
Ten the the FTA broadcast rights for CBS Studioās FTA shows. Once the broadcast (that includes catchup and replay) rights have expired a program can the be shown on Stan. Similar to Modern Family - Ten has broadcast rights and can show replays and you can also watch on TenPlay. After those rights expire for an episode, it can then be seen on Foxtel and Presto.
CH 76 - 7 Home
Will be a mix of lifestyle content from the Seven library and NBC Universal library, will have movies from there Warner Bros and Fox and other content providers, also other forms of reality TV content that Seven have access to like The Amazing Race ect, plus scripted drama series from again Seven library.
The channel is aimed towards the same market segment that 9Life is and also Gem.
Saw this on another forum ā¦ saying it was "leaked " back on the 24th of Jan.
I have a feelings itās family/ drama related as during the summer 7mate aired seasons one to three of Once Upon a Time (obviously in preparation to show four and five) but there is no sign anywhere yet of the show continuing. It must be headlining or at least part of a new channel! (Hopefully!)
Seven have been known to āleakā stuff in the past that hasnāt come to fruition. Weāll just have to waitā¦
Other rumours are it will be a female skewed channel, opposite of 7mate.
During Molly it will be announcedā¦

Anyway, I want to see all the Current US Sitcoms and Dramas that Seven has the FTA Rights to and air them on 76 in Primetime, One Sitcom thatās Not on Australian TV at the Moment but should air on 76 is Blackā¦Ish starring Anthony Anderson which is getting great Reviews and we donāt know if weāll ever see it.
