It might be the Canberra set.
IIRC they use the proper set when they are in Canberra - in this case, they are using a simple green screen shot

Nevermind - Sarah mentioned that they are coming from Canberra tonight - usually the use the Parliament House set, rather than a green screen style locked shot

Really wish theyâd drop the dopey name and go with ABC Reports or something, using a timeslot in the title doesnât make sense anymore.
Brand recognition I guess
Itâs named after the timeslot it occupies. Calling it âABC Reportsâ might suggest itâs an extension of the 7 PM bulletins, which isnât entirely accurate. IMHO âABC In Depthâ would be a far more fitting name if a rebrand were ever considered.
Go back to the â730 Reportâ and for goodness sake replace that set and desk.
And bring back the state versions
They probably should have dropped 7.30 from the title and just gone with Report or The Report.
Just like The 7pm Project became The Project.
