Yeah watching the catch-up it was just over 3 hours no ads. The Amy Shark performance could have been skipped. The other one was much better.
That happens at any awards show. There are always awkward moments especially when the jokes fall flat or they can’t get the timing right. I mean, Alex Dimitriades and Ayesha Madon from the original and new Heartbreak High had a couple of funny lines but their timing was off. If they had rehearsed it, that could have been some funny banter.
But I’m talking more about actors presenting Reality, News or Entertainment awards and presenters presenting in the Actor categories.

Agree and her joke was quite funny, but timing was well off so it wasn’t received as well as it could’ve been.
I noticed Julia Morris was given nothing to do this Logies, apart from a Red Carpet stop and multiple crowd shots during the main event, first in a long time she hasn’t been front and centre with skits (and weren’t we better for it - save now for Seven’s Todd McKenney!) Wonder if it was more Nine who used her as their talent/contracted? Even Hughesy last night couldn’t get worse than Julia’s infamous 2018 performance (last at Crown?) God awful.

Each to their own I guess. I personally enjoy Julia and her comedy style. Would have liked to have seen her up there last night. Perhaps being nominated for the Gold have her the ‘night off’ to enjoy.

I’ve always liked Julia Morris as a personality, it’s just I don’t like some of her routines, you know there’s like a limit. I thought she was brilliant with Dr Chris on 10’s ■■■■■■■■ and also her more straight/serious side as an actress on Nine’s House Husbands, but while I’ve found some of her jokes very funny and she’s a talented comedian, that 2018 performance was horrible IMO and really put me off, a lot of those gags fell flat and it was very very poorly received online at the time.
Still haven’t got the hang of that, eh?

Daryl presenting the award is fine. He’s a multiple Gold Logie winner after all. But just read the intro. No ad lib stuff.

exactly, just do an intro, offer some supportive advice to the nominees, announce the winner. No need for this whole comedy bit especially when the show was already 30 minutes overdue.

Would’ve thought 10 might consider resting that as well given Matildas v Canada World Cup (and final Ashes pending rain) but they don’t usually do this, as seen during SOO (unlike Seven and ABC).
Yeah. It was like, let’s laugh about how long this award show drags on, while I drag it on even longer with my unfunny remarks.
