I have to say itv have done a great job with the ceremony broadcast. It’s very clear they are a slick production company with this type of event.
Nine did it in house and I feel the difference shows…

Apparently he’s on holidays in Mykonos Greece. That was more important it seems than Australia’s biggest awards show. He’s just the entertainment reporter after all. :wink:

Sam mentioned he isn’t there. But even if he was, it isn’t a 9 broadcast so he wouldn’t be front and centre like previous years.

Hamish McLachlan (and Abbey Gelmi?) would’ve almost certainly been reading over their script to collect for Birmingham 2022, been up there for Rio 2016, Gold Coast 2018 and Tokyo 2020. So as you said earlier that would’ve been a shock. Maybe experts thought “Nine are really due for one”.
