Seven really needing to win the Gold Logie. So far, despite their saturation Logies promotion, they have two popular category wins.

Quite strange that presented all the actor awards earlier in the night and now they’re doing the Most Popular Current Affairs Program.
The Silver Logies always had prestige and were presented before the Gold. Either Most Popular or Most Outstanding were usually done before the Gold.
Also odd that they did the Most Outstanding Actress very early on, the Most Outstanding Actor and Most Popular Actress in the same segment, then the Most Poular Actor later on.

Imagine the LOLs if Seven spent all the time on the Logies only to win something for H&A (again) and one pithy Popular new talent award whilst Sonia loses the Gold (again).
Then next year it’ll be back on Nine after Seven execs sue TV Week.
Peking Duk have been around a decade, a major network was already using their hit song on one of their major telecasts years ago:

The lack of wins for the Gold nominees in other categories is noticeable. Seems like nobody really likes any of the network choices this year.
I wish they’d revert to the old nominations process.

All the silvers and actor/actress awards should be just before the Gold Logie. To have supporting actress so late is odd.
The Star is good for ARIA Awards and AACTA Awards but not the Logies. Next year the organisers need to consider International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour.
