Most people would be grateful to get anything but there’s no pleasing some.

This is why people are so negative about the Logies these days. Cash prizes to vote for nominees.

I agree. It is sad and a joke that the tv channel most Australians watch doesn’t have a personality popular enough to be nominated for Gold.

With the live voting, it will be interesting to see if Nine has promos ready to roll after its shows and presenters win?

No doubt it’s cheapness is due to the subsidy the event is providing networks with $1000 for each star to attend the event.

More likely that they can’t get corporations to donate stuff like they used to.

As we all know nowadays the winner of the Gold Logie comes down to which network had the best marketing campaign.

Foxtel stars to attend 60th ANNUAL TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS

Foxtel’s stars will join first-time Gold Logie nominee Andrew Winter on the red carpet at the 60th TV Week Logie Awards, in its new home The Star on Queensland’s Gold Coast this Sunday.

Gold Coaster Andrew Winter – who is also up for the Silver Logie for Most Popular Presenter – will attend with his wife Caroline, and fellow Selling Houses Australia presenter, Shaynna Blaze. Selling Houses Australia is vying for Most Popular lifestyle Program.

They will be joined by fellow Lifestyle personalities The Great Australian Bake-Off’s Matt Moran and Mel Buttle who are just out of the baking shed after wrapping season four.

Foxtel’s Australian dramas will be strongly represented with Wentworth’s Kate Atkinson (nominated for Most Outstanding Actress as is Pamela Rabe who is currently overseas) and Celia Ireland (Most Outstanding Supporting Actress) supported by castmates Katrina Milosevic, Bernard Curry, Sigrid Thornton, Robbie Magasiva, and Jacquie Brennan. The enduring hit, with its sixth season now screening on showcase and its seventh in production, is in the running for both Most Popular Drama Series and Most Outstanding Drama Series.

The cast of showcase’s A Place To Call Home – Marta Dusseldorp, Noni Hazlehurst, Brett Climo, Abby Earl, David Berry, Craig Hall, Sara Wiseman, and Tim Draxl – will join Jenni Baird (nominated for Most Outstanding Actress). Aaron Pedersen is nominated for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor and is overseas. The sweeping period showpiece is again nominated for Most Outstanding Drama, the same award it took home in 2017. Cameras are currently rolling on the last episodes of A Place To Call Home The Final Chapter, which will premiere on Sunday, August 19.

FOX LEAGUE’s Yvonne Sampson, Justin Hodges, Corey Parker, and Michael Ennis will be present with FOX FOOTY’s Sarah Jones. Queensland boxer Jeff Horn will also be there with MAIN EVENT’s Pacquaio v Horn – World Title contending for Most Outstanding Sports Coverage.

Nickelodeon’s Lee Carseldine and Kristy Best are attending with Crash The Bash up for Most Outstanding Children’s program. Joining them is Nickelodeon and social media superstar JoJo Siwa as she makes her first Australian appearance.

Plus the Gold Coast’s own, Jessica Green, star of the upcoming Syfy series The Outpost, will walk the red carpet.

Geordie Shore’s Chrysten Zenoni, Alex Macpherson, Dee Nguyen, and Nick Murdoch are also hitting the Gold Coast, with E Entertainment’s Ksenija Lukich

It’ll never happen but what you described above is why there should be a blanket ban on any type of campaigning

They’re really pushing Grant for gold now. Could he actually win it? he has better betting odds than Tracey and Amanda for returns.

Getting a last minute push tonight

I usually skip through the red carpet portion of the telecast but will probably take a look tonight. I’m hoping the celebs used some local Gold Coast stylists and make up artists to complete their Logies look. If that happens, I expect we’ll be seeing something similar to this on the red carpet tonight:
