As we explained back in July there’s a lot of parties & candidates on it - some who use it as their primary social media platform & others who only post certain content on there
I noticed a bit of misinfo coming from some parties & candidates, plus general takes that they wouldn’t post anywhere else, so we thought we’d create an account just to monitor them a bit (mainly for those who don’t use TikTok as well)
None of it is RTd on the 6 News account & it doesn’t interfere with our primary goal - independent, fact-based news - which we still deliver every single day
6News to do LIVE Victorian Election coverage from 6PM AEDT on November 21. Are there any plans to do all states @Leo_Puglisi6 or will it only be VIC? It could be good for 6News to do all states especially if only ABC/Sky do it currently in ACT/TAS.
Woah buddy, relax. Victoria is the only state election left for this year and NSW is the only election slated for next year. I’m sure they’ve got plenty of time to figure things out.
Victoria is the only state with an upcoming election this year (November 26 btw, not 21) although NSW is certainly a possibility for live coverage
Right now we wanna focus on that Vic live coverage but also our campaign reporting - including more interviews, fact-checks, explainers and a constantly updating list of candidates & parties running!
You both do realise they run a legitimate news organisation right? They might be too busy right now to answer emails. Maybe wait a few hours and see if you get a response then.
It’s also a high school kid who has a life to live outside the channel. Without wanting to speak on @Leo_Puglisi6’s behalf, he has a fair bit on the go.
Probably not the best idea to be (publicly) burning relationships with people in the industry at such a young age. Never become a liability for future employment.
Oh, do come on. I don’t think a little Twitter spat with a has-been like Prue is in any way going to affect @Leo_Puglisi6’s future employment prospects. I’m sure she only says half the stuff she does because she is desperate to try and claim some relevance back. (Incidentally, I don’t suppose she has ever been allowed back on Sunrise since those Stolen Generation remarks? One hopes not.)
