6 News Australia

Huge commitment to be live on Election night. It might sound like a necessity for a news network, but with significant updates often being slow to come and such limited resources to access “experts” to pad this is going to be a mammoth night for the 6 news team. Well done!

Well done Leo! You would need a lot of content to fill those 5-6 long hours of election. Good luck with it, I will sure watch it live!

Oh for sure, but we’ve got some unique ideas & great plans that will make us stand out from the major networks.

It’s not something we’d be doing if we didn’t think it’d be necessary.

Tomorrow, Thursday & Friday I’ll be making significant announcements in regards to it - as well as on Sunday night.

Stay tuned!

Change the zoom settings to HD camera, makes it widescreen. Something I’ve really really hated about zoom interviews is these cameras.

Odd because when my camera isn’t on HD it comes through at 16:9

Surprised Studio 10 didn’t just crop it

Surprised they couldn’t do something about the greenscreen? Unless that was the effect?

Nice job today, very articulate for someone your age.

The opener for The people’s forum is pretty impressive @Leo_Puglisi6 . Well done!

Yeah if Channel 9 was able to put in something for me, surprised 10 didn’t for Roman and Connor!

Thanks! All down to the great work of Christian Penny behind-the-scenes

Was a bit of a test run for our election night coverage soon, so excuse the technical issues we had, but I think we went pretty well!

One thing for me was the quality of the actual video of the forum, was that a webcam on a Zoom call?

Last night was our first live stream testing out some new elements and solutions. You would absolutely notice Leo was disappearing into the background at one point, some graphics didn’t playout, and not being able to secure an audio link into the forums mic’s really hindered our ability to capture clear audio.

Vision wise, we had a strong signal initially, though because we predominately utilise iPhones, and unfortunately, they are restricted to 1 4G/5G signal. When we can, WiFi is the best bet for us, opposed to what majority of networks now do by using systems like LiveU encompassing as many as 4 separate signals to increase bandwidth and reduce latency.

Bias aside I was relatively pleased with how things turned out considering Leo was in Melbourne, Roman in Queensland, and myself in Sydney. We have a few more rehearsals planned! LOL.

Welcome to MS Christian!

Great to hear some of the behind-the-scenes stuff. Did the venue not have any WiFi of it’s own, and was it merely a case of you guys showing it, rather than you guys running the debate (ala the Sky ones)? (I’ll admit I haven’t watched much of it)

Ofcourse transgender men are men. Why even ask such a pathetic and offensive question?

Should clarify that question, this is the full question we asked him:

“Earlier this year the Daily Tele asked you “can men have babies?” to which you responded “no” - some critics, including transgender people, have pointed out that there are many well-documented cases of trans men having babies. Simple question - do you believe trans men are men?”

We then followed it up, as seen in the video, as he did not give a yes or no answer.

Hope this clarifies!

Nothing more but a cheap stunt for a bit of publicity. The question you asked has absolutely nothing to do with the election. You know that no matter how the question is answered that it will be taken the wrong way by somebody and clearly this is what you intended. If you’re trying to get a job at Sky News however, you’re on the right path.
