It looks very slick, I like it.

Looks good!

A comment about one of your recent videos. Is it possible for you to sometimes not use your standard graphics? In this video they obscure the dog just as they get towards the finish line.

Profesh… think 7news.com.au have some competition!

Yep, will try to make sure the lower third (but not the ticker) is removed if it’s blocking certain aspects in videos.

What was the issue with the site not loading everytime?

The site we used to host our website had 3 generic servers - but only 2 were actually hooked up to the website. That third one has now been deleted.

Darby, I don’t disagree with your comment, but again, there is a conflict of interest on your part, considering you are employed by 6 News. Of course you are going to say positive things, you’re not going to trash your employer. This is not a personal attack on you.

I mean, yeah. That’s pretty much the unspoken rule with any company you work at.

In most workplaces it’s blatantly stated in your employment contract. Hardly ‘unspoken’.

How do you know that he is an ‘employee’?

Yeah ok. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Good get, but what’s exclusive about it?

He’s on Insiders tomorrow isn’t he?

Well, not really.

@Leo_Puglisi6 Can I please ask how the ad is placed on your Sunday news? I noticed there is a marker and the ad played when the video reached the marker, which was after you asked a question but before Jim Chalmers answered. I normally don’t see ads as I’m usually using my YouTube premium account, but today I was using my other account which means I saw the ad. I’m curious as to how it works. The section with the ad:

It’s just how you format YouTube ads, you can choose where you want it to play

We place mid-rolls in spots where we think people will want to see what’s after the ad.

Ah, like what they do with reality shows but less annoying!

Some YouTubers put mid rolls every couple of minutes that is most annoying. But you can install an ad blocker it stops the ads on YouTube but doesn’t seem to work on 7plus. It’s much easier to implement on a desktop in particular if you cast youtube videos to a Chromecast. You need to use other tools to get it to work which isn’t guaranteed to work.
But with YouTube it’s only about 20 seconds of ads with some longer ones that you can skip. The other providers have got greedy and show way too many ads and could learn alot from YouTube which has the mix just right in my opinion.
Do you implement mid rolls on all your videos eligible for it? I don’t remember seeing any on yesterday’s video.
Good work on getting the Labor budget spokesmen on, you asked some very good questions even though he’s answers were average.
