I think if you asked people in Sydney about 2SM you’d get 2 responses from 95% - either that it doesn’t exist anymore or what’s 2SM.

It’s a real shame for a station that was iconic in its day.

Would be very hard work to make 2SM relevant again.

I think Hadley is pining for 2GB breakfast, he mocked John Laws for coming out of retirement yet he wants to walk the same track.

Stranger things have happened. Look at the powerhouse KIIS106.5 became. Same with 4BH’s success in recent years.

Not to mention the biggest one - when Jones & Hadley deflected to 2GB - 2UE never recovered.

On 2SM do you think that Hadley has that pull these days. I get the feeling he’s gone and forgotten, I think much of his good fortune came purely from following Alan Jones (and he used to admit that in the past).

As much as I can’t stand Kyle and Jackie O I’d say they’re about the only ones in Sydney that could shift an audience.

Hadley will never end up on 2SM. It’d be silly for him to follow (yet again) in Lawsie’s footsteps.

To retire, then to come out of retirement at 2SM.

I wonder if then, we’ll hear Levy (Hadley’s understudy, just like Hadley was to Laws), calling for Hadley to retire?

You could probably get that (maybe even a low 3) in the 9-12 session alone, but they won’t get anywhere near that overall with the rest of the station outside of Timmy and Drunko McFeely still being just as incompetent.

I’d agree that it would be 2-3 if that.

I’d say barely anyone knows Tim is on breakfast, I think Brent rated in the 3’s in his local market, on 2SM it would be very low and SEN is getting 1.5 in drive with well known presenters, I’d say Talkin Sport is at 0.5 if even that.

I honestly wouldn’t even bother te-entering the ratings if I was them, just have those commercials on saying 2SM is growing and hope you find businesses to advertise who live under a rock.

This Mediaweek article is appalling. Seems the writer had his phone on dictate record and cut and paste that as his story. Pollies as polys, Cherie (Romano) as Sherrie.

Attention to detail, fact checking; fundamentals of journalism or good writing of any sort. Mediaweek is missing James Manning’s leadership.

I have always suspected the callers are fake or lobbiests or generally up to something, possibly having off meds issues but mike james has taken cochranes role of any topic any time its become a geriatric kkk meeting.

Some people are pushing back with sensible rebuttals but there seems to be an endless line of zombies to crowd the normal people out, that’s not free speech it’s constructed nonsense, who is paying the network now, the Israel lobby? One nation? Putin? ACMA needs to act because tobacco spinal implants as a dementia cure is irresponsible . I suspect the ACMA monitor fell asleep or died suddenly, of boredom.
