Brent Bultitude is quite a good listen in the afternoons. I agree about 5hrs of sport. I’d at least lose the SEN double-up in Sydney.
As for Nights, it’s nice to have balance and a female voice… but they really need to chase experience rather than whatever 2HD can find.

2SM was one of the top rating stations when I first arrived in Sydney in 1968! The present setup is a blight on a great station’s past.
Credit where credit is due. Tim Webster, Chris Smith and Brent Bultitude are very listenable programs in 2025.

Chris Smith is unlistenable, many times 2sm have been tricked into rage bait stories off Facebook or callers quoting non existing newspaper articles.
Using Raphael lataster to beat the antivaxer drum is silly ,anyone can see his university credentials are religious studies not statistics, virology, epidemiology or even basic science. Furthermore hes been debunked and looks foolish.
For years 2sm has been playing the right wing apocalyptic born-again anti everything resulting in a small but super regular caller base.
If anything they have only shown how unless acma is and how much we need mis and dis information regulation ,no wonder kind presenters are leaving or going to a radio island to live in peace.

If tony sleeps in or goes on holidays 2el gets 2hd, which is a breath of fresh air. There’s 2 local advertiser’s on 2el a carpet cleaning mob and a jewellery shop. Both probably have connections. The rest are auto adds i wouldn’t want my brand name on this network if they paid me.,sad passing for 1089.

I see Chris Smith had Mark Latham on his show, birds of a feather etc.
It also got a mention on The Daily Telegraph website. Good press for 2SM - and Chris knew what he was doing when he said, “Welcome to 2SM” at the start of the interview. Chris knows/knew this would gain publicity.
Better than where the network was 12mths ago.
Mark is now claiming victim status, the very thing that right whingers (sic) rail against on the network. He also wont appear on the ABC but needs the cuddly warm touch of his best bud Smithy. Its the castle of cringe.
Spot on, this was on tv as well in a news report so very good publicity for them.

They are hard up for publicity when they have to use this despicable character to get some!

Clearly 7NEWS have given 2SM more prominent exposure than 9NEWS. I can see why.

I don’t want my business associated with dirty old duck shoving men claiming mental health and alcohol issues or unmoderated conspiratorial callers (falconio , port athur,covid,wef ,U.N, bunnings canceling Australia/Anzac day,5g chinese mind control, turbo cancer’s, leftie teachers forcing sex changes on 4 year olds,growth hormones added to chickens post mortem) .phew thats quite a list but wait there’s more!!!
I don’t want my business associated with this rot, i can see a strong parallel with 2sco Miami, the right wing radio station bought to sell venus fly trap juice pills and arbor vitae on 2sm thanks to lawsies amazing skills.
