Long time radio staffer. He has other income outside of radio. A reliable addition to the team. Over three decades in radio I’d say.
Well this is … interesting.
Talk about a step backwards
At least it now mentions DAB in the logo… I don’t think any other AM/FM does that. The font looks more modern.
But yes, any 2CH logo that doesn’t have the Harbour Bridge in the H will seem a backward step.
It’s stylised from it. As is the curve of the Opera House, two structures that compliment each other and reflected in this logo.
I see the Opera House, but I don’t see the bridge. Maybe the Anzac Bridge if you’re lucky.
I agree, it looks more like the on ramp of the Western Distributor.
Is it just me or do the colours seem a little all over the place?
Two colours, fair enough. But three?
IMO the “2” looks a little out of place. I would’ve done a gradual transition from the navy to the golden brown.
From Radioinfo:
Over the past six months 2CH has quietly and effectively evolved from its ‘Easy Listening’ format to ‘Classic Hits from the 60’s and 70’s’ and this week, the station unveiled their new branding to reinforce their Classic Hits Music Position.
The aim of the new Classic Hits 2CH hero logo is to present a fresh, bold and clean design that is unique on the current media landscape that reflects the sound of the carefully crafted 2019 version of the Classic Hits format.

I don’t mean to be unkind but for a station losing around $2 million a year…a new logo will change nothing.
And I don’t mean to be unkind but that’s one of the worst station logos since Happy Days 2CH… sorry, since the new 104.7fm Clarence Valley logo.
You mean as per this home page logo?
Yes it’s pretty bad.
I hate the “point-less” frequency IDs, even worse when they don’t put it in the logo! But I suppose they are being consistent as I don’t think they mention it on air either.
Yup I didn’t think much of the 2CH logo or the 104.7 Clarence Valley logo either.

Part of the ‘FM’ logo artwork reminded me of the Flow FM logo

a little off topic but the 104.7fm website looks like if they are an amateurish community radio station!
Lucky it’s not about comparing SCA to community radio
It may have gone unnoticed that the Sunday morning 90 minute religious programmes has been dropped. I don’t have a problem with small snippets of religious content during the day but do hope they revamp Sunday nights also.
This is an entertaining read. The Sunday morning show is on earlier now, finishes around 7am, not sure when it starts. The night show is a heck of a lot different to what it was last year and even earlier this year, rumoured to be rating better too - was number 1 for 50+ at one point according to another station to their concern. If you are going to do a religious/Christian program, Sunday night is it, the calls seem to be improving in quality and quantity when I flick onto it. I still think that style of programming is better suited to what they used to do on FM103.2 on a Sunday night. Probably too expensive for a community station to pull off.
Adam Messenger returns to 2CH as its General Sales Manager, starting from today.

2CH Breakfast with Indira and Trevor has been dropped from the station’s lineup
I’d go with Rob Duckworth and a Classic Hits Breakfast.
