It’s possible news of the PM planning to visit the Governor General to call an April poll may occur during the coverage.

The ABC have changed their package in their WA Votes segment. I was lowkey hoping they’d change it for this election year.

Hoping they change their election graphics package for state election night coverage.

Looks like it’s the same as before. The ABC usually only updates election graphics every three years for the federal election.

Except they updated it apart from the titles at the 2022 SA election

And the previous package was introduced at the 2018 Victorian election (apart from the updated theme)

Indeed, which is why I said usually.

You’d think 10 would probably go live & local news this evening rather than from Sydney, with the usual updates throughout the evening?

Probably won’t promote it at all, as usual.

Would be possible since the staff are already there doing a localised weekend bulletin for Perth, so there is already a control room at that time - just need to get make-up, autocue, and the presenters in.

Would it really be 10 though if the promoted their news :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

What 10 should do (but won’t), air 10 News First: WA Election live on 10 & on BOLD/Peach for other states. It’d rate better than repeats (unless the A-league is on) so they can capitalize on news junkies and politics interested people for ratings.
