Sneak peak of the new Fox News setup for their Democracy 2024 coverage.
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Waleed Aly is in USA covering the election campaigns for The Project.

The Muslim community in Michigan could win Donald Trump his second term as president due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Sheâs a freelancer. She is a one person crew.
That doesnât stop JP Gonzo or Eamon Ashton Atkinson before her. She is a capable reporter that needs to be asked to do more thorough work.
She is a freelance video journalist who is also a single mother with a young child - not like she can just dump everything and travel all over the country at a moments notice - they use her when they can.
The irony of Fox News calling their coverage âDemocracy 2024â
Say what you want about Fox and its leanings, its presentation for elections is generally superb.
Iâd say itâs a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties, as has been said Katherine has some considerations as to why she isnât traversing over the countryside in the states at every opportunity or event, while 10 still get a fairly decent amount of representation from a local perspective from someone who would be somewhat familiar to the audience all while sharing the costs of having a US correspondent.
Donât put words in my mouth.
Believing that newspapers should not endorse a candidate is not being âpro Trumpâ. As I said, I believe that news should be neutral, not leaning to one side.
Hereâs a first look at how Sky is repurposing the MTP studio for their decision night coverage:

An update on this:
- Another cable news legend, Shepard Smith, is coming back to report on the Harris campaign HQ
- The special will use APTN footage and Reuters data for results and calls
- The special will be produced from Sony Pictures Studios at Culver City, a clear callback at the studioâs historic association with MGM, which Amazon now owns
- The format will be in the lines of other election night coverages on other networks, but with the promise of covering it âstraight with minimal dramaâ and âmore streamlined, less clutteredâ
- The network will rely on contributions from reporters coming from digital political publications Axios, Politico and Puck; the latterâs Tara Palmeri will cover Trumpâs HQ
- Other contributors will include former âThe 11th Hourâ regulars James Carville, Mike Murphy and Baratunde Thurston; former The View host Abby Huntsman, ex-CNN and ABC News reporter Jessica Yellin and others will also join in
- As promised, Amazon will also aggregate various content sources for discussing the various calls expected; is planning new spins to touchscreen and videowall graphics
It certainly has all the elements for an interesting watch.
Sevenâs dedicated coverage now wonât start until 11:30 AM AEDT and run until 4:00PM Sydney and Melbourne.
Brisbane: 11:30 - 3:00 PM
Adelaide 11:30 - 3:30 PM
Perth 9:00 - 1:00 PM
There is no mutichannel coverage scheduled so those outside of Sydney and Melbourne will have to watch the start of the coverage on 7Plus.
Have to assume there will be extensive coverage during Sunrise and TMS.
So thatâs around 8:30pm ET to 1am ET.
The first real results wonât be coming in until lunchtime Australian time. And letâs be honest there might not be a clear result anyway. Any early developments can easily be covered off in regular morning programming.
itâll end up running up to the 6pm bulletin.
Itâs always been odd to make that networks schedule an end to live news events that havenât occurred yet. I get they need to for schedules sake but still strange. Like why 4pm? What are you expecting to suddenly happen at 4pm that will mark the end of the night?
The start of the 4pm news .
No reason why they canât just continue until 5:30pm/6pm like they did with the royals.
last one ran to 6pm Sydney time, so 7Adelaide filled with a 30 mins ep of Deal⌠meanwhile Trump was just about to talk so every other channel kept going.
