ABCâs coverage will also feature:
- David Lipson - ABCâs Politics Editor
- Sara James - Emmy Award-winning journalist and author, correspondent and former presenter for NBC News
- Nick Bryant - Former long-serving international correspondent for the BBC
- Simon Jackman - Political Scientist at the University of Sydney
Also the guides indicate that Michael Rowland will be hosting News Breakfast solo from the US (i.e. no presenter in the Melbourne studios).
ABCâs main channel will also be breaking away from coverage at 2pm to go to Question Time from the House of Representatives, before returning to the rolling coverage at 3pm - also means that Question Time will be airing live on the main channel outside of AEDT timezone (i.e. 1:30pm in SA, 1pm in QLD, etc).
News Channel will stick with the election coverage.
The ABCâs coverage will also air on ABC Australia in the Asia-Pacific region:
Possibly MSNBC as well
Trailer for Brian Williamsâ coverage is out - vague, personality-based, and no sets seen.
I wonder if the TV coverage here is a reason why their sister paper (WaPo) is not endorsing anyone this year?
Is that only in the US?
Appears to be:
âElection Night Live with Brian Williamsâ will meet global viewers where they are, providing a unique, first-stop opportunity to follow the eveningâs results in an informative, accessible and non-partisan presentation directly on Prime Video,â the company said.
NBC News Now and MSNBC should be on 7Plus
I personally like how they arenât endorsing presidential candidates, newspapers and television news should not be endorsing candidates as they are supposed to be telling the news unbiased, not supporting one or the other.
I see many people especially on the left upset about this, the only way they would be happy is if they endorsed Kamala.
Yes thatâs true but on an editorial page you would expect them to editorialize which by definition means giving an opinion. The danger is presenting opinion as news: thatâs the domain of Fox and Sky.

Sounds like next weeks Insiders is coming from America too - Speers mentioned he was off to Michigan several times this morning
Yep - will be presented from Michigan
Just all stock footage based. Iâm assuming heâs just hosting the whole time and there wonât be anyone else other than interview guests?
Without getting into another argument this isnât one side v another. This is a lunatic dictator Nazi v a politician.
Are you saying you support Trump?
Did anyone watch The choice 2024 documentary?
Waleed reporting from Michigan as part of the projects coverage of the US election.
I wonder why 10 havenât sent any other reporters over. Kathryn Firkin has been filing but doesnât travel to the battlegrounds and do any original reporting. She voices sorties and even her sign off doesnât mention where she is so it might as well be voiced from Australia even though sheâs in NYC. Last time they sent Hugh Riminton to supplement their US correspondentsâ reporting.
On another note has their been any reporting of the racist and offensive commentary from Trumps faux Nazi rally? Thereâs been just generic reports that he held the rally but nothing about some of the most disgusting things that were said by all the speakers there.
Seven had a report detailing most of the major comments made.
