You’ll be on your own if you do
Honestly, that hole in the bucket advertisement has been one sure fire way to get me to switch stations as soon as it comes on. Clive Palmer’s crap irritates me, but holy shit this is on another level.
I can’t help but think that it has cost more for the networks to air them in terms of ratings than whatever the LNP were paying to air them.
The easiest and most palatable thing would be to ban paid political advertising, full stop.
According to schedules on Nine Radio Syndication and 3AW’s website (only recently published), 2GB/4BC will start coverage at 7:30pm following the 5:30 Cowboys v Storm NRL match. 3AW will have election coverage from 6pm-7pm and then take the Richmond v Essendon AFL match. I would expect 3AW to have an extended news break at half time and return to coverage at the conclusion of the AFL around 10:15pm. How they would handle it if a major speech occurs while the match is in progress would be a dilemma. Personally I think they would cross to it briefly and maybe play more of it after the game.
6PR are yet to publish a schedule for this weekend. They usually have to wait for some details from AFL Nation so we might not know until Friday.
It goes way too quickly. You miss anyone who isn’t Sandra. So, what is their selling point? No gimmicks? Even that gets a fleeting mention. I prefer their 2019 one:
Election 2022: The Key Issues for First Nations voters
NITV’s The Point gathered experts from community organisations and peak advocacy groups to ask their questions to the major political parties in a prime time election special.

It’s not as if they aren’t known to be on the coverage either, given they have been running their “most outspoken team” ads for a while now.
I was watching SBS On Demand through a VPN, and the “hole in your bucket, dear Labor” ad came on at least twice. I can only imagine how irritating it must be to watch TV at the moment.
my wife had the tv on in the lounge the other night, and i was in the bedroom. i was able to hear the TV and that stupid advert drove me bonkers - and i wasn’t even in the same room.
I’m getting my election news from the ABC (I listen to AM and the world today whilst at work, and i’'ll scan the stories from RN breakfast).
for entertainment i’m firing up the VPN and watching BBC or Channel 5 on my chromecast TV. no election adverts there.
I’m wracking my brain here, who is that in that ABC photo between Probyn and Crabb?

I think that’s Bridget Brennan, Indigenous Affairs editor.
10 coverage is looking so promising
Unfortunately, 10s lack of investment into its news department (throughout the year) will be its downfall on Saturday night with viewers. People just don’t turn to 10 for news.
Are viewers over the election?
ACA posted its lowest Tuesday audience of the survey - coincidental that the feature interview was with the PM?

IIRC 60 mins also had a massive drop when Morrison was on as well compared to the previous week. I think people are just over politics to be honest

Gotta regain election coverage credibility after that dogs breakfast of a debate
Most Australian’s would rather watch the election on ABC because 10 have not invested large into news and current affairs for decades
Ratings for UNITED AUSTRALIA PARTY POLICY LAUNCH 2022 on FTA last night:
7Flix’s airing of the UAP missed the top 250 programs nationally, 5 cities and all markets but perhaps did a bit better than I thought to rank 204th in 25-54.
It’s looking great for 10 tonight then! Not

According to 3AW’s website, Heidi Murphy will present the station’s election night coverage.

Heard that ad or versions of that ad about 6-7 times between 6:15-7:10(ish) on 7 Melbourne on Monday.
7 and 9 aren’t helping their perception of right-wing bias by both apparently having three Coalition representatives and two ALP reps…
