Mother’s Day
7 was just trying to jump 9.
8:30pm is too late for the debate. It should be starting at 7pm straight after the news.
That’s an impressive lineup/panel. I’m keen.
Oh course Nine don’t want Lego Masters gone out of the schedule. Also surprised that Sarah Abo will host. Was surprised they didn’t choose their main hosts such as Peter Overton or Karl Stefanovic
David Speers announced at the end of Insiders this morning that Anthony Albanese will appear on Q&A on Thursday night. He also said that the ABC have offered both Morrison and Albanese the chance to debate in the last fortnight of the campaign.
it’s a federal election not a state election, so no they’re not the 6pm hosts.
Surely it will be Karl and Ally with Chris Uhlmann. Deb Knight could also be involved.
SKY News presenters can be seen on ABC News in the background from the Optus Stadium podium.
Timeslot for next week’s debate confirmed. It will be shown on delay in SA, NT and WA unless Nine has some late programming change. It will be broadcast on 6PR in Perth as well.
Where? When? Nine did their live interview (Sunday Sit-Down) from Optus.
News Corp and Josh in full panic mode by the looks of it with this bit of electioneering on the cover of the Sunday Herald Sun and it would appear (though not confirmed apart from those mastheads pasted together?) interstate titles as well
I don’t really see the point in News Corp (plus Sky and Nine with their debates) hammering us all about Josh v Dr Monique Ryan. The only ones in the whole country that can do anything about their futures as representatives of Kooyong are the voters in Kooyong.
I’m starting to think it’s a diversionary tactic, but the more they get coverage the more it seems to hurt the Libs.
I’m a bit over it, to be honest, I don’t particularly care about the goings-on in Kooyong or Warringah or even Wentworth.
True but it’s an important contest to focus on considering we’re talking about not only the current Treasurer but a likely Liberal leadership candidate in the event of a Coalition loss and Morrison standing down as party leader.
Frydenberg losing his seat will have big ramifications regardless of what the ultimate result is.
Is that the point or focus of these articles, though? You make a fair point but I don’t think it justifies filling multiple pages in interstate papers with Women’s Weekly-type photoshoots and one-sided parading (they also did similar with retiring MP Greg Hunt not that long ago). That isn’t journalism. It isn’t even editorial or opinion. It’s borderline propaganda.
It’s a mystery that PVO works for News Corp.
