I’d suggest they jumped the gun and didn’t want to commit to anything until the last minute in case something happened with the state borders to NSW.

The WA ELection began at 5PM on Seven and Nine.
Top one is Nine’s feed with Michael Thomson, Gary Adshead and Dean Nalder

ABC coverage really should be anchored by a local name. Jane Norman is fine but you’d imagine Pamela Medlen would have some more insight.
Also seems a strange call given recent QLD, NSW, ACT and Victorian elections have been anchored or co-anchored by local presenters. (NT the only exception)

Surely Medlen should have been asked? Especially given who’s anchoring on the other channels.
