A massive day of TV, with the RLWC final and historic day/night Ashes on (and unfortunately head-to-head, splitting the audience).
It’ll be very close between Seven and Nine, with larger RLWC audiences in Syd and Bris, broadcast until late night & cricket out of prime-time in Per pushing Seven over the line.
Saturday December 2
They save the best till last don’t they? For the first time since mid 2009, live rugby league will be up against live cricket on rival networks. The weather will have a say though, with showers forecast for Adelaide during the first day of the historic day/night Ashes test. The ratings for the night session will be affected but it should edge out RLWC final.
Australian PGA Championship day 3 0.12m

Second Ashes test session 2 0.79m
Second Ashes test session 3 0.91m
Just a message from me, I won’t be doing predictions during summer non-ratings.
Once again, it’s been a fun, interesting and a year full of surprises, highlights and disappointments. Many predictions were correct, close or no where near, myself included
One thing’s for sure, there were far more ‘low rating’ nights than the previous year, indicative of the declining television industry, watch this space, sadly.
Enjoy the break from official survey (that’s if you’re not continuing here for the next few months) and Merry Christmas
Because there’s ratings numbers for every day of the year regardless of whether or not the networks really pay attention to them, I personally think this thread (and the discussion in it) should be allowed to continue until December 31 after which point a “2018 Ratings Predictions” thread would theoretically be made…but that’s just me.
Thank you Luke, I will still be doing predictions during the summer non-ratings, but not every day.
With a number of programs rested, cricket will dominate today and tomorrow.
