Couldn’t agree more, it would’ve kept it more consistent scheduling wise and they could’ve promoted it Sun-Wed. The 30 min comedy would suit the HYBPA audience and 10 have done well with factuals on Tuesday nights.
Stupid people are generally the audience unfortunately. Media and sponsors live for stupid, easy to manipulate people. So why over complicate it for their audience?
I watched tonight and didn’t hate it, though it could’ve probably been condensed into half an hour and I wish they disclosed how much money was raised.
Interesting that it finished with “next time on…” and included what looked to be a fair bit more available footage to air.
I think it would have been better if Lee Lin Chin was the “crazy rich Asian” bossing the concierge around to cater to her every whim. The over-demanding schtick worked for her on The Feed
At least the over the top reactions on Real Housewives are entertaining and funny unlike the shit served up by 10 last night .
And 10 will probably commission this garbage
If the ratings for last night’s first program of Pilot Week are anything to go by (less than 200k metro viewers - even the 9/11 documentary on SBS received more), surely this concept can’t return to Ten next year?
At the very least, I think the idea would be better during Summer when people actually are looking for something new to watch rather than in August or September when there are established formats on the other networks for viewers to follow.
I didn’t even bother with this one. I must say that the offerings in pilot week are very underwhelming this year. I was interested in a few of them last year but this year the majority are dogs.
The only thing I’m planning on watching is “Part Time Private Eyes”. Although I couldn’t tell you when it’s actually screening because Ten have done such a rubbish job promoting it.
