I’ve removed SpreeTV and replaced it with a generic channel. I’ve used the ‘test channel’ icon on it for now.

LCN 6 7 Regional WA picture quality is very ordinary for the only main channel that has no HD.

I think Mt Lennard has the most powerful output in the market.
Curious, how did 9HD and 9Life look? WIN’s very ‘experimental’ MPEG-4 output for those two services is problematic in a lot of areas of the state.

The lack of more localised LCN names eg. use of Regional WA instead of Bunbury or South West WA makes me think that each channel has the same state wide feed everywhere? Do you know if that is correct?
Ads are a mix of Bunbury, Albany and statewide / generic ads, a few for Perth businesses too. Some are agricultural or machinery related.

Need to update the Foxtel list. NHK, ID and Dreamworks all in HD.
Perhaps also 9Gem, 9Go, 9Life, SBS Food, SBS Worldwatch, ABC TV plus, ABC ME, ABC News as they are all in HD on the IQ5 (by defaul now, when you set up the IQ5 it adds the the IPTV feed, which is HD.

Cheers for the info. Are you able to tell me which ones are 720p and 1080i/p?
Also, are you sure they’re all HD? Last time I checked SBS On Demand didn’t offer SBS Food, NITV or SBS WorldWatch in HD.
These also don’t show up as HD services on the Foxtel TV Guide or on today’s satellite scan. Are Foxtel substituting the satellite version for IP in these cases?

I’m in the process of switching over to using actual channel names instead of what I have now which is pretty much my own consistent formatting.
I know it sounds pedantic, but I want to double check some names here. Is there a space between 10 and Bold/Peach, or are they shown as 10Bold and 10Peach. Also, is 7two definitely lowercase here?

Foxtel’s channel lineup (at least in the September guide) doesn’t seem to indicate this - something must have changed since it was printed if they’re now in HD

If you go into settings in the IQ5 >> local channels >> local channel sources (and are connected to Internet) you can change the source of some channels to IP and it will instead of using the over the air signal, connect to iView or SBS On Demand. For me it only works for ABC and SBS.
Satellite viewers can also switch their ABC source between of air and Sydney.

Are NHK, ID and DreamWorks in HD on your iQ5? I’ve got no other evidence showing it is. Unless @lsl was referring to Foxtel Go/Now?

On the IQ5 when you go to the channel and press info it has a HD logo. And the content is very clearly in HD.
For the FTA channels, 9, ABC and SBS have the main and all multichannels in HD over IP.
I think Foxtel not actually listing these channels as being in HD is it not wanting to advertise that it is now providing a lesser service over satellite.
I can provide photos later tonight.
Edit: was wrong about the SBS channels being local. They’re not.
