i’m pretty happy with my strategy, i’m more concerned with a winning streak than having few guesses.
Depending on how much info i get, i burn up to 4 guesses with EIGHT, PALSY, FONDU then either BRICK/BROCK/BRACK/WRECK/CRUMB depending on which vowel I want to try in the middle.
by that point i’ve got all the letters and a lot of clues about the placement, and i guess the word on the 5th try pretty quickly. never needed a 6th guess.
Sometimes i get lucky and EIGHT gives a lot of information (like with LIGHT) and i don’t need any more trial and error.
