Seven posted its three highest rated days of the year to narrowly win the final week of the summer ratings period. Nine was just 0.3 behind after winning the first four days of the week while winning key demo groups. Nine’s share was down three points from the previous week with all other networks improving their shares.

Married With First Sight again filled the first four places in the rankings as high as an amazing 1.779 million while Australian Idol launched to its highest ever premiere rating while on Seven at just over 1 million.

News and A Current Affair were again prominent in the rankings with 60 Minutes returning to rank 12th for the week.

Home and Away was dragged down by a triple episode on Thursday but still managed to be the top scripted show with the premiere of Madam on Nine second.

Day 2 Session 3 of the cricket coverage was the top sports entry as six sessions made the top 30.

10’s best result was I’m A Celebrity from Sunday in 37th place.

Nine won the 5-city and three east coast markets with Seven’s win thanks to victories in Adelaide, Perth and regionals.
