Seven’s massive + 45% share was a 2023 high and saw the network take the lead in weeks won during the survey period. It also helped put Seven 1 full point ahead on Nine in the average share. It was also a main channel record for the year and 7Mate’s highest of 2023 so far. It included wins in all markets and key demos.
Seven’s share is the highest since week 32 of 2021 featuring the Tokyo Olympic coverage.

Key to the win was World Cup coverage that included a record OzTAM audience for the midweek semi final Aus V Eng. The Wold Cup coverage filled the top 4 places after adjustment for preliminary results and will feature prominently in the live VPM numbers released later.

The Voice and The Block were neck and neck in the total people rankings. Just outside the top 20 included AFL Friday 21st and Have You Been Paying Attention? 22nd.

Note that the revised figures for Sweden v Australia only included main channel figures for Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Record breaking live TV BVOD viewing almost reaching 1 million for the World Cup Semi Final. Plus not often a multi channel features in the top 5.

I notice live streaming for Sweden v Australia was split into main channel and 7mate. The combined BVOD live audience was 397,000, just a notch below 398,000 from Seven’s press release on Sunday.
