The third State of Origin of the series fell just short of game 2’s record audience in preliminary numbers to top week 28 and become the number two program of the year so far. The pre- and post game coverage slotted in at number two and three. The result ensured that Nine won the week.
England’s win of Mexico ranked fourth overall, Belgium’s elimination of USA was 9th with France V Morocco 11th. AFL also scored its best Friday result of the year to be 15th.
Two episodes of Farmer Wants A Wife were the top entertainment shows of the week with Home and Away next best just ahead of Travel Guides. The return of Lego Masters also made the top 30 as did Have You Been Paying Attention?
Just missing the top rankings MasterChef’s Monday episode was 31st while Australian Story was back after a short break into 33rd place. Cooper and Fry was ABC’s top entertainment show in 46th place.
