The 9Network’s key performance highlights are as follows:
The 9Network recorded the following Broadcast TV primetime shares across the 5 City Metro:
People 25-54: 35.53%
People 16-39: 34.37%
Grocery Shopper 18+: 34.73%
Total People: 35.25%
9Now won the week with the key demographic of 25-54 and 16-39, recording the following shares across Australia (measured across the entire day):
People 25-54: 38.17%
People 16-39: 37.79%
Grocery Shopper 18+: 38.32%
Total People: 38.57%
Game one of the NLRW State of Origin was the fourth most watched program of the week with the key demographics of 25-54 and 16-39; and was the 5th most watched program of the week with GS 18+ and Total People.
Week 20 saw another win for Seven, having won all six post-Easter weeks of the survey. Seven and Nine saw share drops from the previous week as 10 improved, especially in key demographics with ABC and SBS fairly steady. Nine’s share was its lowest for the survey in total people and key demos while it was SBS’s highest.
Farmer Wants a Wife’s three episodes made the top 10 as the top ranked entertainment shows with the new season premier of Have You Been Paying Attention? the next best.
Also making the top 30 were Home and Away, The 1% Club, MasterChef and the return of Gruen for ABC. ABC’s budget coverage also did well including the Treasurer’s Speech that ranked 12th.
Game one of the Women’s State of Origin was the top ranked sports program in 9th place. Seven’s AFL Friday Night just made the top 30.
Nine’s top entertainment show was Tipping Point Australia that had a very narrow in over The Chase Australian to rank 24th. Next best RBT was 33rd while the second season of The Summit launched in 35th place.
Also missing the top places was Better Homes and Gardens 32nd, Media Watch 36th and The Front Bar 42nd.
On Sunday, 7News Spotlight again outperformed 60 Minutes.
There were still +200k viewers tuning in for Bluey The sign episode in VPM rankings. Farmer Wants A Wife was just ahead of Alone Australia near the top of the on line numbers.
It’s confusing how Seven rank on total TV reach, Nine ranks on a mixture of metro total TV and metro broadcast averages and MS seems to rank on total TV average…

Please note: The report includes BVOD live minutes only and is not restricted to the five metropolitan cities. When broadcasters upgrade their video players, player measurement SDKs may take time to reach consumer devices (consumers need to update their apps) and may temporarily result in under-reporting a broadcaster’s video player figures.
Oddly, Essendon v North Melbourne AFL (involving one of the biggest teams and near top of the ladder), albeit early Sunday game, didn’t rank in Foxtel Go/Kayo’s entries. Maybe it was made up for by Foxtel broadcast.
edit
Just realised this’ll probably be in next Tuesday’s report, as of course ratings is Sunday - Saturday
