Seven won week one of the 2024 ratings, two ahead of Nine on network share but just 0.3 for the main channel.
Seven’s win was off the back of wins in Adelaide and Perth with Nine ahead in the eastern states.
The NYE fireworks topped the week and helped ABC to its highest share in just over a year.
SBS also posted a good result, its best since week one of 2023 and just one behind 10 in network and main channel shares.
Notable multichannel results included 7Two ranking first with its best share in 12 months.
7Flix also had its highest share in 12 months while 7Bravo’s share was its highest ever.
SBS Movies had its best share ever while for NITV its was its highest share since 2020.

Interesting to see a children’s program (Tabby McTat, which premiered on New Year’s Eve on ABC Kids) topping the BVOD ratings.
