Married At First Sight was the only tent-pole reality show in town last night and it showed in last night’s ratings with Nine a full 10 points clear of its nearest rival with a main channel share bigger than Seven’s network result.

MAFS was the number one show of the night for the first time this season helping Nine to its highest Wednesday share of the year so far. That saw Seven down by 2, 10 down by 1.4 and SBS down by 1.6. ABC that saw the return of some Wednesday night favourites was up to its best Wednesday share of the year.

Married At First Sight was up 46,000 from the previous week when it was in competition with Idol and Survivor. It was followed by a new season of Under Investigation that did well to benefit from the lead in and win its time slot. The audience of 415,000 compared to its previous September season that had 294,000 for the premiere while the last February’s season launch episode had 364,000.

Seven’s News was again a winner while Home and Away was on par with its usual result. It was downhill from there as Code 1: Minute by Minute that followed landed a distant fourth at 7.30 with 234,000 after its first season premiered to 363,000 in November 2021. The Font Bar All Sports that followed was impacted by the poor lead in and dropped 70,000 from the season premiere of the previous week.

ABC premiered new seasons of Hard Quiz (492,000) and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (396,000). Both results were down on the previous seasons that started with 564,000 and 459,000 respectively but were otherwise competitive in today’s FTA environment.

Over on 10, The Dog House was back with a new narrator and an audience of 325,000. That compares to the last season that launched in March 2022 to 426,000. Meanwhile The Project and 10 News also made the top 20.

MAFS absolutely dominant for the night with no reality rivals against it.

Bloody hell. Once again Nine’s main channel outdid Seven’s entire lineup.

28,000 for Adelaide 10 News First is looking healthier. Can’t compare directly to last Wednesday as 10 News wasn’t in the top 20 but seems higher than any other day last week.

Melbourne is looking fairly decent too at 80k.

The result is almost double that of the previous Wednesday that was unusually low. Otherwise one of the higher results for they year but still below Nine’s afternoon news - 10’s news was 17th in Adelaide while Nine’s afternoon news was 13th (Seven’s was 18th) . Also more competitive in the key demos (as usual for 10).

One week out from week 1 of “ratings” and Seven’s 7.30 show is 234,000.

Nine had a rare win in all markets - not even Perth was watching Seven last night at 7.30 with Code 1 in 25th place.

The Front Bar again did best in Melbourne where it was 15th, It was 25th in Sydney, just 42nd in Brisbane 23rd in Adelaide and 27th in Perth.

Great performance from Nine yet again with MAFS over 800,000 for all four nights.

Meanwhile the oh so woke Channel Ten comes in with 8.3%. Ouch!

Interesting reports in the Daily Mail today about some changes at the top at Ten because surely something has to give with figures like this

Oh ffs, typical RWNJ kind of comment from you.

It’s just a load of BS to be 100% honest.

They launch a show against “seven” and wipe it off the screen. Not bad for a “woke” network that no one watches.

10 would be over the moon with their 7:30 shows at the moment. Survivor matches and beats Idol on seven most nights.

Not bad for a station that Murdoch and RWNJ say nothing rates. It’s punching good numbers, not great.

If you don’t like, don’t watch, I am sure sky after dark is the perfect channel for you to watch.

Actually, how is Sky News rating these days? I would image NewsCorp would love to have 10s numbers.

Most days nothing over 50k - some days nothing over 40k.

No one is surprised by that. Seven aired something that no one cares to watch on its own and it’s not even a series that is captivating or reliable. They need a new captivating format to go up against MAFS. You know your main lineup is cooked when The Front Bar of all shows is about to overtake the 7.30 show.

10, well even The Dog House can’t save their primetime ratings after being stuffed around and repeated so often, which is exactly what happened with Ambulance. Got too greedy and faffed around it too much.

Both of them (Seven in particular) need to go back to the drawing board because giving MAFS a free run is not healthy.

Heads roll in Channel 10’s boardroom: Executives are sacked as ratings slide and high-profile hosts ‘jump from the sinking ship’

The sooks can cry all they like but there is definitley something happening over at Ten today in relation to these constant low numbers like last night’s figures because an 8% share of audience is simply not going to cut it.

This has already been reported elsewhere by more credible media sources than the shitty daily mail.

Your continual unstable rants are really getting tiresome.
