In a night where normal viewing patterns were disrupted again by The World Cup, SBS had another great result. Overall, Seven came out 0.2 ahead of Nine while Nine’s main channel was number one. ABC and 10 were both down one from the previous week.

Seven maintained its dominance at 6pm though wasn’t able to complete a clean sweep of markets with Nine winning the news battle in Brisbane.

At 7pm a special one hour A Current Affair tribute to Tracy Grimshaw was down on the show’s usual numbers with its lowest Wednesday audience of the year - second at 7pm and first at 7.30pm. ABC News dominated the 7pm timeslot with Home and Away down week-on-week.

The early morning broadcast of the Australia V France World Cup game made the top 10 for SBS but didn’t impact the prime time ratings share while last night’s prime time game managed 362,000, down on Tuesday night’s game.

For ABC, Fisk ranked 6th for the night as the top entertainment show with a season high 500,000. Hard Quiz and Question Everything also did well but lost audience from last week.

Seven’s 7.30 offering Code One: Minute By minute just made the top 20 while the second episode of Country Home Rescue on Nine was down 50k on the debut episode in its 8pm timeslot. Dream Listing Byron Bay that followed at 9pm was also down.

The Project 7pm was 10’s best result for the fourth consecutive night with the first instalment of the Claremont: A Killer Among Us documentary just missing the top 20 but doing better than many other shows on 10 recently.

The early football match slightly impacted the breakfast shows with Sunrise and Today each down about 10k on the previous Wednesday morning. News Breakfast was down 20k.

Good ratings for France v Australia yesterday morning. The Socceroos’ next match against Tunisia this Saturday should attract a bigger audience.

Did Code 1: Minute by Minute beat Claremont: A Killer Among Us in Perth? Both shows touched on incidents which happened in the city in the 1990s.

I really hope this means audiences have had their fill of the true crime genre and we start to see less of it.

Heartening to see a quality, home grown sitcom in Fisk as the most watched entertainment program of the night.

Such great guest stars last night with Deborah Kennedy, Matt Okine and Rob Sitch delivering the goods. The core characters continue to evolve and have avoided becoming caricatures. The relationship between the Ray (Marty Sheargold) and George (Aaron Chen) characters is sweet and Julia Zemiro’s portrayal of Boss Bitch Roz is brilliant considering she’s alway been such a likeable, inoffensive personality.

6 episodes is barely enough of Fisk.

They’re pretty good numbers for the early morning World Cup match (with the Socceroos). As for the primetime matches, Id say SBS would be happy with the numbers and shares so far.

As for Fisk, what an awesome result for a Australian comedy airing at 9pm.

Not bad numbers for the one hour special for A Current Affair on Nine.

Literally nothing in between the two shows in Perth. I think part 2 of Claremont may get more viewers tonight in the city.
