Wednesdays continued to be owned by Nine with an eleventh straight victory, this time by seven points. Nine’s share was, however, down one this week with Seven and 10 each up by one as ABC and SBS also lost share.

Married At First Sight hosted its second-last dinner party of the season. Billed as explosive, it demolished the competition with over 1.7 million. The result was, however, down 50k to a six-week Wednesday low.

The 1% Club UK provided some competition on Seven up by almost 60k while a one-off Wednesday edition of Gogglebox on 10 gave its network a boost. The 478k average was up 160k from The Dog House’s number last week but otherwise lower that the Thursday results so far this season.

ABC’s Hard Quiz averaged 547k, a season low while the second episode of The Weekly With Charlie Pickering slipped by 55k. That was behind the second episode of Scrubland that slipped by 65k from debut but stayed over 500k.

The Front Bar was up 40k to just miss the top 10 with the second episode of Unfiltered that followed also slightly higher with 272k. Elsbeth on 10 got a few extra viewers (20k) with its improved lead in.

Seven News had a +100k win at 6pm. Tipping Point was over 700k and beat The Chase at 5pm by 125k. At breakfast Sunrise stayed above 400k and 100k ahead of Today

  • 9News was the No.1 news service with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.945 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.197 million - up 9.3% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 112,000 was up 40.0% year-on-year.

  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.717 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.073 million - up 2.1% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 118,000 - up 24.2 % on the same night last year.

  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People across Australia and in all five metro capitals. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.338 million, a Total TV National Audience of 725,000 (up 16.6% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 60,000 - 53,8% year-on-year.

  • Scrublands dominated its timeslot in Sydney and Brisbane with Total People. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.536 million and a Total TV National Audience of 510,000. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 73,000.

  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a Total TV National Audience of 312,000 and a BVOD audience of 43,000 - up 30.3% on the same morning last year.

  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network on Wednesday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos.

  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform on Wednesday across Australia recording shares in excess of 53% with Total People and all key demos.

Once again, the tragic Guy Mont Spelling Bee (NZ) rpt rates well below the programs before and after it.
Why doesn’t ABC move Planet America to 9pm and dump Guy Mont? Or at least find a better comedy to put on at 9.

The show is technically a repeat because it is shown first on Saturday night on ABC Entertains then repeated on the main channel the following week.

The ABC is probably the only network that wouldn’t pass that off as a new episode on the main channel.

Ten shows Entertainment Tonight on 10 Peach Comedy first and later on 10. They don’t promote it as a rpt.

But I don’t think the ABC are advertising it as a repeat as such? It’s just listed in the table and guides as a repeat.

Also not sure your point re 10, they don’t promote ET? Lol. Just looked at ET from today, the later airing on the main channel is listed as a repeat in the guide.
