Ten’s decision to move Ambulance Australia to a later time and slot in The Dog House Australia at 7.30 saw it as the only network to improve its audience share on Wednesday albeit still at a low level. Ten’s share was up two points with the losses spread across the other networks.
Married At Frist Sight’s latest dinner party drew almost 1.6 million to easily top the rankings. Though that was down 130k on the previous week, it was the second highest Wednesday result for the season. It biggest competition at 7.30 was The 1% Club that was up 30k week-on-week.
Ironically, on Ten. Ambulance Australia outrated its canine-focussed lead in and was up 80k. ABC’s Hard Quiz and The Weekly were steady.
Later, Under Investigation was down slightly while preliminary numbers for The Front Bar were higher. Talking Footy held onto its audience as well.
In the afternoon, The Chase and Tipping Point were within 10k of each other in average national audience.

Note that these are broadcast TV numbers. That may sometimes lead to PR releases seeming to differ as to which program won a market if the network is using Total TV numbers that included live BVOD.
Front Bar the standout there, really, with Syd and Bris again holding up okay, not sure a factual at 8:30 would do significantly higher (they won’t do first runs like HP being split scheduled and 8:30) and FB’s key demos would be richer and more important anyway including AFL exposure, growth, etc.
Talking Footy perhaps move to even later or 7mate in Syd and Bris, add another factual repeat.
Nine would be a bit disappointed with those FC results especially vs Seven’s shows, TF more so (although probably helped by FB over-run). I think most fans prefer the traditional Monday show.
The extra reports have to be manually generated. They aren’t supplied in the form/order above. But that seems like a way that many would like to see the numbers presented.
