Seven had a four-point win on Wednesday despite dropping four points from the previous week. Nine was also down two, while ABC gained two and SBS dropped one. 10 lifted by five points with its highest Wednesday share of the year.
On Seven, Melbourne and Adelaide had a new Aussie version of The 1% Club while Sydney, Brisbane, Perth had a 1% Club UK repeat. The total rating of 920k was an easy 7.30pm timeslot winner. The Front Bar followed with 553k which was 130k lower than the previous episode while Unfiltered had 239k.
2025 Australian Swimming Trials – Finals stated at 7:30 (except Perth) on Nine last night and drew a modest 357k over about 2 hours. A split schedule then saw Freddy And The Eighth in NRL states and The Grand Tour elsewhere neither of which made the top 30.
Over on 10, another immunity challenge saw MasterChef with just over 600k, up 20k on last week. Elsbeth later improved by to top 300k for its highest rating of the year.
Gruen did well for ABC to hit a season high 729k and up 50k while Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee’s second episode of the new season was up slightly to just over 500k. Planet America also edged higher to be just over 400k.
On SBS, the Season 3 Alone Australia Reunion had its linear TV premiere with 151k.
The 6pm news battle produced another win for Nine News at the national level for the second consecutive day. This time the margin was bigger at 40k. That followed a +150k win by Tipping Point while earlier, Sunrise had a +100k win at breakfast. Deal Or No Deal was in the top 30 again with +300k. The Project was also notable for topping 400k for just the second time this year - with the first time being Monday.
