We Interrupt This Broadcast

When you search for the show to stream online, you can see it was definitely available:

When I clicked on that earlier today, barely an hour after the news broke and mentioned it here on MS, this link was broken and 7Plus said “could not be found” or whatever, however now it does take you to its page, but still no episodes (which suggests Seven staff are tinkering with this matter as we type):

Perhaps they do want to upload, as there was no doubt still catch-up data to report, especially the finale and I myself wanted to and was many eps behind, but of course will 100% have to edit and not sure whether Seven classification, Seven Productions post, broadcast team or the production company will be the ones to do that or how…

Yes sad news but I hadn’t watched the finale yet either. I’d come this far… (I did find most of it at least mildly amusing and there was the odd gem). Thought I had a series record on it via Plex but no…

Seven have slotted in a repeat, late on Saturday night on 1 March

They should have interrupted this broadcast to tell us that!

But seriously, I hope Seven reconsider this show for a new series airing in an 8.30 or later timeslot to give it more scope for humour. 7.30 was just too early and thus stilted the show creatively.

I remember Seven pulled this quickly from 7Plus not long after launch (which itself was years delayed), following the tragic death of MasterChef’s Jock Zonfrillo.

There were multiple episodes with a character obviously meant to satirise him and the gags were pretty full on and would most likely offend those close to him, I think unfortunate ill-timing and they made the right call. Wonder if said episodes might’ve been edited regardless.

I Liked this show it had its flat moments but it was a great effort should it come back did it Rate well enough?

I think it should be obvious that it didn’t come back because it didn’t rate well.

Did you like it Jbar?

No. It was quite awful.

I think the timeslot was the show’s main drawback.

It had the potential, but the inability to push the boundaries of humour in a 7.30pm hampered.

At 8.30 it could have been a much more entertaining show.

Most viewers probably saw the show as Seven using comedians to attack or lampoon the more successful formats aired by their rivals, justifying the whole exercise under the guise of ‘satire’ through sketch comedy. It was hardly on par with SNL.

How more entertaining with more Swearing and Sexual innuendos? Comedy Inc from 20+ Years ago did TV Parodies but also other Skits.I would like this Show to come back but Tweaked a lot but put on 8:30 or at 9:30 or on a Multi-Channel on a Thursday or Sunday? My favourite Skits were Antiques Shop collector man,Survivor,Hunted and I’m a Celebrity.

a bit late to the party my apologies

I think what really killed it in the end, was the rather OTT and in retrospect pretty horrible Jock Zonfrillo gags, following his tragic death.

IIRC Seven even quickly and quietly pulled it from 7Plus.

Wasn’t Comedy Inc always on at 9:30? If they did this It would be more likely later I don’t think it would be on at 8:30.

Different era, but Full Frontal was definitely an 8.30 show.

And Fast Forward was as well, I think.

Might have even started in the 8:30 slot. Later moved to 10:30 as “The Late Shift”.
