Must be an engineering error, maybe BCM forgot that 7mate is HD still in at least one market?
Also, no “live” as Red Carpet is pre recorded / packaged. But that watermark bug should come on for the count in 15-30min…

Here’s the watermark for the rebranded ‘FOX Showcase’ - the coloured version appears for the first few seconds at the beginning of the program & after returning from an ad-break before reverting to the transparent version

2000s? 2008 and prior correct?
This interesting one popped up during a news report which aired here in Sydney tonight:
Was that solid coloured WWOS logo only ever used for the 1999 NRL Grand Final? Because almost all the other watermark introduction-2006 sporting telecast footage I’ve seen from Nine seems to have mainly included a transparent or solid white WWOS logo.
The first of those old Fox Sports “watermarks” possibly dates back to the Late 1990s? 2nd one was definitely introduced in 2004 IIRC.

The aspect ratio was 4:3 so probably last century.

There’s a promo for the Grand final on YouTube that talks about it being commercial free - maybe the solid watermark was to highlight how you are watching Nine as their benefit for doing that?

Yes only the 99 GF it was a one off, No other 1999 games had it. WIN didn’t even cover it up
