Nine Perth coverup in 2008 when WIN O&O’ed NWS-9 and STW-9

Basically Nine covering up Nine.

Wasn’t that an ugly 9 WWOS logo.

An ugly coverup!

If you think that’s ugly take a look at this.

I don’t see it in the video.

Sorry, I didn’t give context; I meant the 9 logo without the dots.

Oh, not that ugly though. Similar to what was used when 9 went dot-less.

Yes, but just a little out of place, when other 9 stations (excluding Perth, I think) had re-instated the dots.

This one for national news is just awful:

I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Yeah, the coverups of the dotty nine to get a dotless one were ugly - but the clean stuff, like the Idents and that news opener were fine - just strange.

Why exactly did WIN use a dot-less 9 in non-WIN branded areas?

Maybe because WIN love doing cover ups.

Probably because WIN themselves also ceased using the dots once 9 began using them again.

Of course WIN end up reusing the dots on STW/NWS before their eventual sale.

No Olympics watermark for SBS when they shared FTA rights with 7 in 2008

When WIN owned STW and NWS, it was like they got stuck in 2006/7 and the only thing they can change is the color.
