Maybe because people like me watch it?

[V] is definitely my most watched of the music channels on Foxtel, I guess cos it’s all current music and they have a lot of countdowns. I often flick it on the weekends when I’m doing housework or at night when we have people over.

Don’t like the new logo/font but 100% agree the other had been around for way too long & needed a change.

Wonder what the reasoning was for dropping the “hits” name? especially since they announced they had “closed [V]” a such last year…

Why the hell do they still have writing next to the logo? Ill never understand why they do this…MTV is even worse when it comes to this…

PNAU to kick off first concert series

This summer when the sun sets on [V] Island in the middle of the iconic Sydney Harbour, the coolest acts from around the globe will return to play live and exclusive for another legendary season of [V] Island Parties, thanks to presenting partner McDonalds.

Kicking off this year’s lineup of summer’s hottest gigs will be double ARIA Award nominees, PNAU. The music festival favourites will hit the decks on Monday November 27 for an unmissable set of their biggest hits from upcoming album Changa (released tomorrow), including the triple platinum Chameleon and new summer anthem Go Bang.

Highlights from their performance will be captured and replayed for [V] fans from midday on Saturday December 2.

After sweeping up a massive seven wins at the American Music Awards last weekend, Bruno Mars will be back on [V] screens for a one-off television special 24K Magic: Live at the Apollo on Saturday December 9 at 12.00pm.

In front of thousands of fans, Mars and his acclaimed band the Hooligans, will kick off the special atop the famed marquee sign above the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York City, before hitting the streets of Harlem to entertain locals and viewers alike.

The electrifying hour-long special, which has been months in the making, will also feature never-before-seen footage of the band during rehearsals while inviting viewers into Mars’ world for some intimate and unmissable moments.

Whilst the exact set list for the hotly anticipated concert is being kept under wraps, it is rumoured Mars’ chart topping hits 24K Magic, Uptown Funk, Locked out of Heaven and many more will be included as part of the one hour musical bonanza.

After the Australian premiere of 24K Magic on [V}, FOX8 will air an encore screening on Thursday December 21 at 8.30pm.

US rapper Post Malone will launch the new video for his worldwide smash hit, ‘I Fall Apart’ exclusively on [V] this Saturday February 10 at 9am.

For 72 hours, [V] viewers will be the first in the world to set eyes on the highly anticipated music clip produced by [V]’s Creative Director Sean Vandenberg in Perth, Western Australia during the rapper’s recent visit for the sold out FOMO tour.

Since the single’s release last year, ‘I Fall Apart’ has been streamed globally over 555 million times, and is currently dominating Australian airwaves, sitting at number 4 on both the Spotify and iTunes Chart and number 3 on the Apple Music Chart.
