Well at least she thinks she went on her own terms

Good luck to her, I guess now being 66 (wow!) she can trundle off into the sunset with Portia.

The widely awaited take over saga of Paramount is finally over
Skydance has agreed to a takeover deal of nearly US$8 billion. Larry Ellison will personally take the place of CEO and Chairman of the company, with Jeff Shell, former NBCU CEO sacked over an investigation on inappropiate behaviour, will serve as President. Takeover finalized early next year.

This logo was used in the Investor call last night, but I wouldn’t be worried, most likely a placeholder like the infamous Warner Bros. Discovery logo.

Why would it be a worry?

Some might see it like the ‘death’ of the longtime Paramount script wordmark (new business daddy making fingerprints on unnecessary places etc.)?

It’s a combination of the Majestic Mountain and Skydance’s wordmark:

At least they didn’t rename it SKYMOUNT or Paradance.

Maybe it’s sort of a mixed-use case, where they’ll use this new Skydance-inspired logo for the corporate side of the company and keep the script for the Paramount Pictures division itself.

A reality show contestant who killed and ate a protected bird while filming a US survival competition series in New Zealand was issued with a written warning by the Department of Conservation.

Race to Survive, which airs on the USA Network produced by Original Productions, filmed its second season in New Zealand.

Contestants Oliver Dev and Spencer ‘Corry’ Jones were disqualified in the season’s eighth episode after it was revealed the latter had eaten something he should not have.

While the show kept the details vague, the Department of Conservation confirmed to 1News that the species in question was a weka.

The New York Times adds that the producers appeared after Dev and Jones completed a leg and said that they broke a rule.
