AMC has renewed Better Call Saul, Fear the Walking Dead and McMafia for new seasons.

For the week 16-20 July Spanish language network Telemundo was the number 1 broadcast network 7-11pm Monday-Friday for adults 18-49 in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, and was the number 1 Spanish network 18-49 nationally beating usual leader Univision. Telemundo’s success beating the English language networks in the two biggest markets was primarily due to a new sports reality program Exatlon.

I wonder if this program will get remade in Australia?

Timeless, who was twice axed by NBC, will have a two-part episode later this year to wrap up the series.

Fox has given the green light to an American version of South Korean celebrity singing contest The Masked Singer and competition series Mental Samurai for 2019. Could either show eventually make its way to Australia?

I regularly see King of masked singer, and have pondered if it would work well in Australia…it’s different enough to attract an audience, and should work as long as the network does it right…which means getting a mix of recent, older and forgotten singers as competitors. If they just use it as a vehicle for cross promotion of their own Network has-beens, X factor and the Voice finalists, say, then it would be doomed to failure.

On a side note, our Dami Im has been a contestant on the Korean King of Masked singer.

FX has renewed American Horror Story for a 10th season. Meanwhile, Jessica Lange will reportedly reprise her Murder House role of Constance in the sixth episode of upcoming season 8, to be directed by Sarah Paulson.

FX has renewed Fargo for a fourth season, and also ordered two new series: Devs, a thriller set in a tech company, and Shogun, an adaptation of the 1975 bestselling novel by James Clavell (Taipan), both of which will air in 2019.

Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black) will star as The Batwoman in the new CW series.

Her latest work is the US-Chinese co-produced movie The Meg which is in cinemas from August 16.

Surprise pick-up for CBS, this show is quite young skewing and I always thought they had a slightly older audience and thought it would’ve been better suited to airing on FOX or MTV etc .

Wonder if they can make the series more respectable to fit its decent audience and not so vain/slutty/dog turd trashy.

Really interesting. CBS doesn’t really have anything in the dating genre I suppose and this is skewing really young for them.

I guess we’ll see it here on All Access (a reversal of sorts with Bachelor USA playing here on 9Now).

It will be interesting to see when they plan to air it. Will it be a summer show in 2019 or will they use it to fill holes around Christmas and New Year?

Replacement for Big Brother in summer?

I think they will keep Big Brother because it does well. Love Island could be a companion show perhaps.

So in other words you want them to make it dead boring like most of their shows. You will get your wish most likely as America loves its censorship.

A local revamp for Baltimore. I do like how they acknowledge their past with photos of old anchors on the wall. You don’t see a lot of that here.

Perhaps we’ll see a (eye)10 logo here one day?

I like the interview set with all the old memorabilia in the background.

Wouldn’t mind seeing something like that from Channel Nine when the move to North Sydney happens in 2020.

Funny how a local station set is better than network level here in Australia.
