At 95, he’s not doing too bad.
Still lives in a world were Television is king.
Does he also still rely on Telegrams?
Or does he use carrier pigeons
And yet he can’t come to an agreement to carry 9Rush on the unused multichannel that had TVSN on it? He should close that unused channel down so as to make 9Life HD instead.
Why would a regional operator be interested in further eroding their advertising and cost base?
TVSN would pay WIN to carry the channel. 9Rush would just cost them money!!
This is an interesting remark in that article:
Three weeks later, on December 21, TVSN’s lawyers at Holding Redlich sent WIN a letter saying there was “no point in having a meeting” because it would be “impossible for your client to provide the Australian-wide coverage required by our client”.
That provides an “in” for WIN Group to ask for a remedy. A little presumptuous to assume they would not or could not make a deal with Nine or Ten to continue with nation-wide carriage.
WIN will probably waste as much money with legal fees than the fee they got to carry TVSN? Seems a petty whinge by WIN. Just rent the spectrum to another direct marketer, or why not start a 24/7 vintage Australian drama channel with the Crawfords library they own if they are too tight to carry 9Rush?
