TV Week

The shows that were aired and the presenters and actors who were in Adelaide at that time. How close Adelaide TV was compared to Melbourne TV. I know that with a lot… of research I could possibly eventually find it myself. This is the only site, apart from televisionau, that shows any information or history on Australian TV
Even the TV Week site has little information. The only reference to old TV guides is on ebay and this holds no interest to me.

These are the covers of the oldest edition that I have. If they are of Historic value is there a media archive they can be given to?

Maybe contact State Library of South Australia first?

Amazing how the front to this day still has a version of that familiar TV Week logo.

The logo used to be in the shape of TV screens of each era. These days it seems to have a wonky (not quite square) shape for some strange reason.

Does 7 SA guide appear in regional victora state wide or just Western Victoria ?

i haven’t seen that edition for a long time but IIRC it has one edition for the whole of regional Victoria

Grant Denyer on the cover this week.

Yes, it’s great to continue to see some variety in the faces on the cover, but to have someone who isn’t even on TV these days?

He’s on an upcoming Who Do You Think You Are?

I guess it’s an excuse to run an old cover favourite. Like Kate Ritchie a few weeks ago when she was on Ahn Do’s show, or Bec Hewitt on DWTS and Lincoln Younes on Doctor Doctor…

This week’s cover. Home and Away. Who dies? How original? I’m sure it will be the guest character and not one of the regulars.

well we had a good run while it lasted

I reckon that’s the first time I’ve seen the masthead bumped to the middle of the page

It’s rare but I think they’ve done it before. Back in the early days, they used have some on the right hand side too. It depended on the photo but I think these days they sometimes flip the image to fit the masthead instead.

“The shock discovery that will leave fans breathless”

Like the other 10,000 times you’ve proclaimed a “shock discovery”?

Think that’s called Coronavirus?

What, fans will be shocked by the decent acting?

Yes, first time it’s been in the centre. First time on the right was issue 191 (July 26, 1961). Next was in Feb 1964 (issue 326), and it became a fairly regular thing from then on until May 1980. One more in 1981, last one was in 1985.
