Turns out one of the contestants considered quitting because of the corona virus lockdowns because he would have been stuck in Melbourne while his wife and child were in South Australia. But they decided to travel to Melbourne to be with him. Crisis averted.
So the “shock walkout nobody saw coming” never actually happened.
No wonder nobody saw it coming
It was Callum.
Guys, lets just be thankful it’s not HAA or C7 dominating the cover!
Further proof that TV Week is living in the past.
Kate Ritchie on the cover for a “Logies Special”. Smaller photo of Ray Meagher, Carrie Buckmore, Samuel Johnson “Their untold Logies stories”.
Old Home and Away photo of Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Seven. “Bring Ricky Back To The Bay”.
After reading your post, I just looked up “2020 Logies”, and noticed that they were supposed to be on next Sunday. But since they were cancelled a while ago, i do wonder why they are doing a Logies Special now? Seems irrelevant.
Surprised we haven’t seen Kate Ritchie on the cover for a while, for her usual “will she return to the bay” story… lol
Basically HAA & Seven talent with one other from another network. FFS
Amanda Keller (The Living Room) on the cover. Looks like a fresh new photo too but they’ve gone back to the cheap paper again for the program guide in the middle.
probably a small price to pay given the current state of the business
Yeah, I don’t mind the program listings themselves on the cheaper paper but they should look at changing where the sections sit in the magazine.
They have one page of the program listings at the back on glossy paper along with letters and puzzles. But the first few pages that have TV series, soaps and movies on the cheaper paper. Not great.
Maybe they could reposition the sections so all the photos are on glossy paper and the puzzles are on the cheaper paper instead.
Years ago (as in decades ago) they used to print colour, and the central wad of pages was on different paper in black and white, which was usually the guide itself and some of the columns written by contributors and letters to the editor etc.
I love Amanda Keller but could be argued that Bluey should have got the main cover picture
The Bluey stuff is a few pages copied out of the new Bauer Media Bluey mag. So it’s just an advertorial really.
I agree though. They should have at least capitalised on Bluey’s popularity by having a TV Week Bluey Special Issue with her on the cover.
Bonnie’s TV comeback was a small role in the new season of Rosehaven, filmed in her home state of Tasmania last year.
TV Week just can’t let these old Home and Away actors go. A small role in another series and she gets a cover story?
Meanwhile Neighbours stars are killing it big over in Hollywood. Go figure.
