TV Week

Is everything all right at TV Week - it’s been four weeks since Home and Away occupied the main front cover photo, and three weeks since it’s even been on the front cover at all .

Though I’m sure they will still whip up a “must read” 15 page H&A Christmas Special in the next few weeks

Larry’s next big move is obviously to join the cast of H and A.

Of course, following off the back of Shirvo’s logie worthy performance earlier this year - just what the show needs, more morning TV cameos .

That will be next week’s issue as that covers the official Christmas week. Again, Ian Smith should appear on next week’s issue as the main story, but it won’t be put above the HAA special. So disrespectful, yet so predictable from this mob.

Hopefully they at least have the dignity to put him on the cover when his final episodes go to air.

TV Week usually covers what’s happening on screen so it’s more likely they would put him on the cover in April when those episodes air.

I get that from a character perspective… but from a general actor perspective and his commitment and dedication to the Australian film and TV landscape, he deserves a feature. They would be all over it if this were a long-standing HAA actor!

There should be a “latest news” section in the mag, like on the two pages after the editors column / contents page. They can report on some issues, like Ian Smith’s health battles, or who will be hosting upcoming shows like the Carols, to shows getting the axe. Short articles. Instead of having the whole mag prior to the guide just filled with synopsis of drama and comedy shows.

They used to have a news section. But with the internet, these pages stopped.

Surprise it a Home and Away Christmas cover; how disappointing.

Amazing that in the TV universe it’s only ever Home And Away that seems to celebrate Christmas

While the four-page Neighbours Christmas spread gets no mention on the cover.

It’s ridiculous how the focus is always on a “10 page Home and Away” special rather than including all the other shows too which would be a good way to promote the magazine.

Seriously does any one show justify a 10-page spread?? There must be some rock solid sales data to support H&A taking up so much page space??!

Certainly is overkill.

The four pages Neighbours has in the mag seems about right.

Shame they couldn’t get the networks to submit some Christmas photos for this issue as they did, years ago. Seven has shot a Christmas promo. There must be some photos or stills they could have given TV Week to promote their other shows.

TV Week really love Home and Away don’t they?

Yes. Where have you been for the past ten years?

Had the mag done its 2025 preview edition yet?
Cheers!

That is usually done at the end of January leading into the first week of the unofficial ratings period.
