A discussion thread for video podcasts that air after each episode of a show.
I’ve never watched these before and used to think of them as “extras” but I’m currently watching The Celebrity Traitors UK Uncloaked and am digging it. I love the discussion of the episode that I just watched and you feel really involved. Especially if you don’t know anybody who watches the show it’s great to have that involvement.
I might start watching these with other shows.
I’m curious to see other members thoughts on these.
Most podcasts have video nowadays?
I think it depends on how long they have been running, there set up, and what platforms they are aiming to target. There are a few that I have watched on YT but they did have audio only when they started out.
No I know they do. I question why there needs to be a demarkation?
Well, it really depends on how big the pod cast is, There not all that big. The other issue is they may film it by default but because the platform they use doesn’t need video they just don’t upload it. I have seen a few that upload to multiple and for some reason a lot of time they will upload audio then re upload with the video. But that only happens on platforms that will take video.

I think @David’s point/reason for the thread is to discuss bonus/discussion shows about other TV shows. Not video podcast per se. Whether that’s the right name for the thread or not…well happy to hear other ideas.

Oh right. Companion Podcasts if you mean like official ones. Or Podcasts about shows or something if you mean unofficial ones.
Yeah I’m across the intricacies, I upload various shows where I work. I do feel video is key now, especially for discoverability on socials, tile and audio aren’t anything compared to a video clip. But I digress, this isn’t the thread for it it seems.

My apologies for the confusion.
I meant this thread to be a discussion on companion discussion podcasts such as Lanterns on HBO Max has a podcast and after each episode there was a discussion about it. Same as The Celebrity Traitors UK and The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked airs after each episode and a panel discusses the episode.
