Mainly a security decision - a few years back with ISIS there was a heightened security risk for media companies… so the decision was to not brand any new news crew vehicles.
Most promotional cars, or link trucks (you know, the ones that are really obvious that they’re not a stnadard passenger vehicle.
Wouldn’t it make sense to remove the logos/branding from existing vehicles and perhaps cease the usage of customised numberplates (I know that both Seven and Nine at least, have customised numberplates for their Sydney news vehicles) in that case? Or is there something I’m missing here?
When I’ve seen the television vans and cars outside parliament house in Canberra on a few occasions they all have logos on them. Some are obviously local while others would have come down from Sydney for the occasion. If the signs have not been put on new vehicles as claimed, maybe they have big magnetic signs they stick on when they need to?
Something I noticed while watching YouTube highlights of last night’s women’s T20 match between England and Australia. The caravan is called Cricket Pod.
At first I was looking for a mistake in the super (which reads terribly btw) but looking at this again and checking which thread this is I see why it’s been posted here.
