According to the 1983-84 ABT Annual Report, there was an ABC translator in Bamaga operated by the Northern Peninsula Area Council, but no details about the callsign, just that the parent station was ABQ Brisbane.

Does anyone remember a commercial that had the line “even though we’re all grown up now, we still look after each other”. I believe it featured a family with three kids and a kitten and ends with the children as adults.
(Sorry if I’m being vague, I’m just going off memory)

Hey does anyone remember about 9 years ago Grant Denyer hosted an Australian Version of Ellen DeGeneres USA gameshow Game of games on Network 10,was this show similar to Claire Hooper’s ABC Show?

Did Griffith breach the media voices rule? It had for one point:

and the Area News

I don’t think they existed in the hey day of regional media. MTN and 2RG were co-owned for a large chunk, and I don’t know if the Area News’s owners owned any stake in MTN or 2RG.

I have always wondered one thing. Was Chris Conroys World Of Boats and Chris Conroys Leisureworld paid presentations, cheap sponsored programming or general infotainment?

Could’ve been all that. Chris might’ve been the first to tap into that sort of programming. Could be wrong though, someone might have done it first.

I always found airing a repeat late Sunday or Monday nights weird. I did notice in the 1980s there was a few times it aired on Monday night, usually when there was airing of Formula 1 Grand Prix late on the Sunday Night
