Did David Johnson and Mal Walden read together on ATV10 before Tracey Curro joined them or was that only meant to be a temporary arrangement?
They did, following Jo Pearson’s sudden departure, but I think it was always intended that a third (ultimately, Tracey Curro) would join the two of them.
That would be Bruce Woodley from the Seekers, after the band broke up he was busy writing commercial jingles. Another of his jingles was for the ANZ Bank in the early 70s “Travellin’ Man”.
Anyone know when in 1996 the Red Faces Classics specials aired?
In 1996?
Consecutive Mondays in November. First one aired on the the 18th, the second on the 25th.
Thank u SydneyCityTV.
Does anyone know where I can access full episodes of 7’s Beyond Tomorrow (the 2000s series)?
Feel free to move mods.
It was a lame program name compared to Beyond 2000. That wowed me when I first saw in it in TV guides in the late 80s or early 90s. It sounded so futuristic at the time!
One of the best Theme song too
Why the “ratings season” ends in the final week of November and not in December? Is it related with the start date of the meteorological summer (which is around that time)?
Holidays in Dec and Jan as it runs for 10 weeks.
Thanks @Aurora!
What’s the predecessors or Today Show on Nine?
From what I remember, there were GTV9 Today and National News Today lol
The Super Flying Fun Show.
bruh
There’s been plenty myfriend.
GTV9 had a Today show in the early 1960s, then again in 1968-69.
It then linked with the Today show from TCN9 in Sydney but was axed at the end of 1969 and replaced with the cartoon show The Super Flying Fun Show.
Nine launched National News Today early in 1982 and then the National Today Show in June. It eventually became known as Today.
apologies for all Aussies here but why I have the feeling that the structure of the Australian Radio/TV network system seems so strange?
(don’t take offence please, thank you #myfriends lol)
Sometimes it seems strange to us too
lol
